Chi pensava che il Covid-19 avesse messo i bastoni tra le ruote al campionato internazionale BOSS GP non ha fatto i conti con la determinazione e la professionalità di organizzatori, piloti e team partecipanti. Si perché la serie internazionale non è stata fermata dall’emergenza sanitaria e sarà una delle prime a riprendere l’attività con il primo week-end di gare in programma sabato 11 e domenica 12 luglio sul circuito di Imola. Ma c’è di più! Nonostante la ristrettezza di tempi, i protagonisti della BOSS GP sono riusciti ad impostare un calendario completo e prestigioso e la conferma c’è stata proprio nelle ultime ore con l’inserimento in calendario nel week end dell’1 e 2 agosto, della prova sul mitico circuito belga di Spa-Francochamps. Seguiranno altri quattro week end in Repubblica Ceca a Brno e poi ancora in Olanda ad Assen e chiusura tutta tricolore sui circuiti del Mugello ed ancora Imola.

Tra gli attesi protagonisti della serie internazionale sarà ancora il pilota laziale Luca Martucci in gara con i colori della Tirrena Racing su una fiammante Dallara GP2 del team MM International Motorsport. Forte dei sei podi conquistati nel 2019, alla sua prima stagione nella categoria, Martucci non ha trascurato nulla nella preparazione al campionato e si presenta al via della stagione 2020, più determinato di sempre: “Se il mondo intero si è fermato a causa del lockdown, noi non lo abbiamo fatto”. La prima dichiarazione del pilota cepranese è un guanto di sfida, un autentico motto o inno alla volontà di reagire. E si perché Martucci anche durante il pieno della pandemia, quando il mondo intero era praticamente fermo, non ha smesso un attimo di pensare ai suoi obiettivi sportivi. “Mi sono preparato mentalmente e fisicamente a questa stagione con la piena convinzione che l’emergenza sarebbe cessata ed avremmo ripreso a correre. Così è stato e l’intenso programma di allenamento, seguito con la collaborazione preziosa del dott. Stecchi, ha dato i suoi frutti. A questo aggiungiamo che con il team MM International Motorsport non siamo stati fermi nella progettualità. Abbiamo fatto un ulteriore step con la nostra vettura e soprattutto abbiamo programmato una serie di test che mi hanno permesso di affinare la conoscenza della vettura e soprattutto il comportamento dei pneumatici. Lo scorso anno il nostro punto debole era stato proprio l’adeguato sfruttamento delle gomme. Abbiamo focalizzato le prove su questo ed ora ci sentiamo pronti per sfruttare al cento per cento le possibilità che ci darà il pacchetto composto da macchina-motore-pneumatici”. Salgono dunque anche gli obiettivi? “Sicuramente. Se lo scorso anno abbiamo seminato, ed anche abbastanza bene, quest’anno è arrivato il momento di raccogliere i frutti”. A buon intenditore …

Luca Martucci and Tirrena Racing at the start of the 2020 season of the BOSS GP Championship

Those who thought that the Covid-19 could stand in the way of BOSS GP international championship, had not reckoned with the determination and professionalism of the organizers, drivers and the teams. the international series indeed has not been stopped by the health emergency and it will be one of the first ones to get back to work with the first weekend of races scheduled for Saturday the 11th and Sunday the 12ft of July on the Imola circuit. But there is more! Despite the short time, the protagonists of the BOSS GP have managed to set a complete and prestigious calendar adding a test on the legendary Belgian circuit of Spa-Francochamps for the weekend of the 1st and 2nd of August. Four more weekends will follow in the Czech Republic in Brno and then again at Assen in the Netherlands and then ending with the Italian flag on the Mugello and Imola circuits again.

Among the expected protagonists of the international series there will still be the Lazio driver Luca Martucci competing with the colors of Tirrena Racing on a shiny Dallara GP2 of the MM International Motorsport team. Four of the six podiums conquered in 2019, in his first season in the category, Martucci has not overlooked anything in the preparation for the championship and he is more determined than ever at the start of the 2020 season: “If the whole world has stopped due to the lockdown, we didn’t. ” The first declaration of the italian pilot is a gauntlet, an authentic motto or hymn to the will to react. Even during the pandemic, when the whole world was practically stopped, Martucci did not stop thinking about his sporting goals. “I prepared myself mentally and physically for this season with the full conviction that the emergency would end and we would start running again. So it was, and the intense training program with the precious collaboration of dr. Sticks, paid off. We add that with the MM International Motorsport team we didn’t just plan. We took another step with our car and above all we planned a series of tests that allowed me to refine my knowledge of the car and above all the tires’ behavior. Last year, our weak point had been the proper use of tires. We have focused the tests on this and now we feel ready to take full advantage of the possibilities that the machine-engine-tire package will give us ”.

Do the goals also rise? “Surely if last year we sowed, and also quite well, this year has come the time to reap the rewards this year.”
